“The Reg” is a Marietta
native and graduate of such illustrious institutions as Harrison
High School, Georgia State University, and Kennesaw State
University. She is currently enrolled at KSU for her Masters in
Professional Writing. She enjoys teaching because the students keep
her young, but will not cry the day she sells a novel and can write
full-time from her beach house, mountain chalet, or London flat. She
currently is working on several fiction pieces involving the Amish,
nuclear apocalypse, and crazy people. She is a poet and she does
indeed know it. Her hobbies include travel (both domestic and
foreign), puttering in the garden (when she can), cooking (when the
kitchen is clean), and reading (especially Harry Potter). She chose
to teach English because she truly believes in the power of the
written word. Her favorite English-y things are: John Donne, Sylvia
Plath, The Romantics, The Transcendentalists, The Beats, and Gonzo
Journalism. She is eternally amazed by her two-year-old daughter,
Rhiannon Morningstar.
